After all the Fred Harman newspaper stories had been reprinted in the Red Ryder comic book, the new stories in the book were ghosted by several artists. One was John Hampton, and the art here is identical to his Kiyotee Kid story in #40, except for the heavy inking. Art ID by Steinar Ådland January 2011.

Synopsis
A rich fellow from the east wants a live Grizzly bear to take back for his zoo, and Red Ryder is hired to help him get the bear. Along with the fellow are two bad guys who are hired by a man back east to kill him in an "accident".
