Synopsis
A foreign envoy has brought a gift for the Frankish king: a unicorn. All they need to tame it is a maiden, and all eyes turn to Valda. But, they don't know about her relationship with Arak, and the unicorn has to be pacified by Malagigi's magic when it goes wild. Later on, the envoy challenges Valda to a joust; if he wins, she becomes his wife. Amazingly, the fat little man does win, but before the marriage can be completed, Rinaldo confesses that he gave the envoy a magic lance so that Valda would lose. He wanted her to be happy, but didn't realize how much she wanted to remain a knight.
