- Synopsis
- When their rocket crashes into the sea, an unconscious Flash is captured by water-dwelling people and surgically altered so as to breathe water rather than air. When Queen Undina discovers Dale's existence on a nearby island, she jealously orders her and Zarkov to be altered too. Once they help beat off an attack by Ming's forces, Flash's and his friends are welcomed as heroes. When Flash frees Undina and Triton from the rebellious Pluton, she agrees to have their surgery reversed, and to let them go free.

- Synopsis
- Flash and his party crash and become separated in the forests of Arboria. King Barin sends out search parties and after many dangers all are made welcome at Barin's capital. When word reaches Ming he makes war and captures Flash, staging a public execution. A sympathetic doctor restores him to life even as Dale and Zarkov make contact with farm folk who are ripe for rebellion.

- Synopsis
- Flash and his friends lead a rebellion against Ming, gathering forces from rebellious farmers along with dissatisfied nobles and military men. Despite several near-victories, in the end betrayal crushes the rebellion, driving Flash and the others into hiding in the mountains.
