Newman script per Biblio printed in Robin Snyder's The Comics, Vol 22, #7, July 2013.
This story uses the Western-created scientist mouse "Professor Theorem" rather than the regularly-used scientist mouse "Professor Edam" of the St. John era Mighty Mouse continuity. Professor Edam would appear at Western shortly thereafter in the Western reprints of St. John material seen in Mighty Mouse #161-165 (1964-1965), presumably indicating there was no prohibition on using the character.

The Clutching Cat was Western's brief answer to Mighty Mouse's regular adversary of the St. John era Mighty Mouse continuity, The Claw. The Claw would appear at Western shortly thereafter in the Western reprints of St. John material seen in Mighty Mouse #161-165 (1964-1965), presumably indicating there was no prohibition on using the character.
