Synopsis
Usagi encounters several students of a sword fighting school and is mistaken for a member of the Red Scorpion Gang. The school's master, Suzuki, is a friend of Usagi's teacher, so invites Usagi to visit his school. Usagi defeats all the senior students in practice fights, but allows Suzuki to beat him to save face. Later a magistrate's son is kidnapped and Usagi joins the school's students in the search. Meanwhile Suzuki and his top aid, Ishii, are plotting and it appears they may actually be the leaders of the Red Scorpion Gang.

Synopsis
While Usagi and retainers search for the magistrate's son, kidnappers Suzuki and Ishii are recognized by the son and Ishii kills him to protect their identities. Cutting off one of the son's fingers, Ishii tells Suzuki to bring it to Maeda as a ransom demand on behalf of the Red Scorpion Gang. Becoming suspicious, Usagi returns to the school and finds the dead son's body. As he prepares to fight Ishii, Usagi calls Ishii the leader of the Red Scorpions but Ishii grins: he's not one of the Red Scorpion Gang.

Synopsis
Usagi kills Ishii in their duel. As Suzuki attempts to draw Maeda into an ambush, Maeda reveals he's the real Red Scorpion, so he knew all along Suzuki & Ishii had been lying to him. As Usagi arrives, Maeda summons his gang; joined by the search party and Suzuki's students they engage in a bloody battle which leaves the entire Red Scorpion Gang dead. Suzuki's students encourage him to remain their sensei, but he observes his actions have dishonoured him. With Usagi's assistance, Suzuki performs ritual suicide.
