- As a teenager, in college, and after college, Jamaica Dyer repeatedly visits the Mission District. When she realizes that all of her memories and experiences come from a six-block area, she makes that area her home. There she's fallen in love, found the best burritos ever, and never run out of things to do.

Though he's been there for years people pretty much ignore him, until one of the bartenders at his favorite joint is arrested. Murray gets him out, and from that time is acknowledged and even welcomed around the District. After ten years, it's nice to fit in.
