Synopsis
The Scarlet Witch has killed a number of her fellow Avengers and continues to become more and more unstable despite the best efforts of Professor X and her father, Magneto. The X-Men meet with the old and new Avengers to discuss what is to be done about the problem she presents. Arriving in Genosha, our heroes cannot find Wanda and before they can track her down, the Scarlet Witch recreates the world according to her own design.

Synopsis
Magneto rules the world and mutants are the norm. Steve Rogers is an old man, never having been frozen in ice. Scott and Emma are a happy couple. Alison is a talk show host and Simon is a movie star. Ms. Marvel fights crime and Bishop is a NYPD cop. Kitty is a school teacher. Stephen Strange is a psychiatrist. Colossus is a farmer. Hank (the mutant) and Hank (the human) work for Tony Stark. Wolverine wakes up and freaks out because he is the only one who remembers the "real" world. His fellow agents of SHIELD are concerned as Logan races outside and finds Sentinels protecting New York.

Synopsis
Wolverine, confused at this new world he finds himself in, leaps from the SHIELD helicarrier trying to find some answers. He reads an issue of "The Pulse" which seems to be a celebrity mutant tabloid. He finds X-Mansion occupied by a normal couple. He tries to get into Stark Tower to talk to Tony but his SHIELD unit catches up with him and tries to bring him in. He escapes into Cloak's cloak where he is teleported to the location of the human resistance movement led by Luke Cage. Luke tells him to destroy the SHIELD tracker at the base of his skull or Hawkeye will destroy it for him.

Synopsis
Hawkeye shoots Wolvie to destroy the SHIELD tracker embedded there but Sentinels have already discovered their location and attack. Cloak teleports as many of the human resistance as he can. Cage tells Wolverine that the world is ruled by Magneto's House of M. Logan tells Cage that the world was different and the Scarlet Witch caused the world to change. Luke introduces Wolvie to Layla Miller, a girl who has told him the same story. Wolverine and Cage bring Layla to meet Emma Frost who links minds with the girl and remembers her old life. A very angry Emma vows to kill Magneto and his kids.

Synopsis
Emma Frost and Layla Miller link minds with a number of earth's heroes and show them that the House of M is not the "real" world. This is especially hard on Peter Parker who is living an ideal life with Gwen Stacy and Uncle Ben, two of his loved ones who are dead in the reality he comes from. As the heroes gather and try to figure out what to do about Magneto and his new mutant world, Logan's old SHIELD unit arrives and begins a battle. Layla zaps Jessica and her team and converts them to her side. Magneto, feeling an impending sense of doom, visits the Xavier memorial.

Synopsis
Jessica returns to the Helicarrier accompanied by all of her fellow heroes whom Emma Frost is shielding from SHIELD. Cyclops splits the good guys into three teams as he makes plans to take on Magneto. As dignitaries from around the world gather to honor the House of M, the heroes use a modified Sentinel to attack the royal party. As their allies create a diversion, Cloak, Emma and Layla visit the Xavier memorial and discover that Professor X is nowhere to be found.

Synopsis
Dr. Strange slips in to confront Wanda who has created the House of M reality. Strange discovers that it was Quicksilver and not Magneto who talked the Scarlet Witch into creating a world where mutants rule. Hawkeye shows up to kill Wanda but she discorporates him. Magneto is mind zapped by Layla Miller and learns the truth. He attacks his son for helping make this new twisted reality but this only succeeds in making the Wanda more scared and confused. Reaching a conclusion based on her mind's faulty logic, she proclaims, "No more mutants," and the world ends in a blinding flash.

Synopsis
The heroes wake up from their experience of the House of M reality but only a select few can remember what has happened. Peter Parker takes it especially hard as both Gwendy and Uncle Ben are once again dead. At X-Mansion, the X-Men are in chaos as many of the mutants, including Iceman and Dani Moonstar, seem to have lost their powers. Emma uses Cerebro and discovers that only a handful of mutants still exist on earth. The Avengers search for the Scarlet Witch but cannot find her. The X-Men travel to Genosha to confront Magneto but discover that he has lost his powers as well.
