- Riding the Forest Perilous, the Silent Knight is warned by flaming arrows that another step will bring doom! It's the work of evil Sir Edwin, who hates and wants to expose the SK's secret identity. The SK battles thugs on a bridge, escapes a circle of fire - and wonders what the third flaming attack will be. He can't take the arrows back to the castle as Squire Brian, so pins them in a sapling-snare and builds a small fire. As Edwin accuses Brian of being the SK, the fire-released arrows zip into the castle - saving Brian once more!

From cover, Robin shoots arrows to bowl evil knights from the saddle, saving the day. Yet he's chastened by his father for "wasting time with Old Hugh". Maybe someday he'll use the bow against villainy...

He's given a boat to sail home, where he must battle another tyrant. And the old man's daughter sighs...
