Hello, Morty!
Genre
humor; science fiction; adventure
Characters
Rick Sanchez; Morty Smith; other kid campers and counselors; Birdperson (cameo); Tammy (cameo); Scary Terry
Synopsis
Is Morty in a coma, or has he been sent to a surrealist summer camp where dream-stealing aliens are stealing Earth-persons' dreams to power their civilization in the "Dream-verse"? Only Rick and Scary Terry (a cheap "Freddy-Krueger rip-off") know for sure... and even they can't agree on what's real.
Keywords
coma; dreams; mystery; parody or tribute references; summer camp

Indexer Notes

The primary summer camp sequence is introduced by the title "Morty and Rick in: Mortballs (cue music)" - a title parody of the 1979 Bill Murry comedy movie "Meatballs".

Much of the rest is a parody of/tribute to the 1984 horror movie "A Nightmare on Elm Street", which introduced iconic horror film character Freddy Krueger - suggesting the unofficial title.

First Line of Dialogue or Text
We're Beth and the Beths! Goodnight!
Genre
humor; science fiction; adventure
Characters
Beth Smith; The Beths; frantic fans of The Beths; Jerry Smith
Synopsis
Beth uses Rick's portal gun to escape from Jerry's humdrum banality into a world where she is a member of a punk rock band made up of clones of herself.
Keywords
alternate worlds; diversion; punk rock band

Indexer Notes

Oddly, "Our Beth" is not the leader of this band that exists in her image, but just one of the band-members. Perhaps all of them are Beths gathered from different realities.
