- Synopsis
- Barely alive after his latest fight with Superman, Luthor heads to Lexor to recover, where he meets his son for the first time. Meanwhile, back on Earth, one of Luthor's robots takes revenge in his master's stead. While Superman figures out how to deal with the revenge plot, Luthor stabilizes the core of Lexor with a "neutrarod" so it is not destroyed by internal stresses. Superman finally arrives on Lexor to fight once again with Luthor, but in the fight Luthor disrupts the rod, destroying the planet and killing his wife and son.

- Lex Luthor uses every method available to him to learn the connection between Clark Kent and Superman, including drugging Ma and Pa Kent and torturing Lana Lang. The computer calculates that Clark Kent is Superman, which Lex feels is illogical, and so he has the computer data deleted and Amanda McCoy is fired.

- Synopsis
- Lex finds himself with Death, gazing on his own body (after it was shot in the last issue). She gives him a life review. Lex tries arguing for his life, tries to bribe her, tries to gain her sympathy; but she's heard it all before. She gets his views on the afterlife, and Lex refuses to accept his fate. But he doesn't have to; Death reveals to him that he's not dead, and indeed, he awakens back in his jet, quite alive.
