Namor bristles at the invaders and has words with the city's founder and creator, Dr. Walter Newell. As the two men parlay, the Plunderer shows up in a powerful sub and punches a hole in the dome that covers the city. Namor confronts the Plunderer but is forced to leave the villain as he sees that Dorma is in trouble. From an observation of the original art, Nick Caputo explains: "The cover was originally completely drawn by Marie Severin and inked by Frank Giacoia, but Stan apparently did not like how the Asgardian figures looked and asked Jack Kirby to re-draw them, with Syd Shores inking, thus the mixed cover elements." Information provided Jan, 2012.
