Synopsis
Joseph runs away from boarding school to find mysterious Uncle Albert, who proves reclusive and cryptic; his house is a curio whose arrangements must never be disturbed. Joseph finds and pores over the puzzling sketchbook story of the Marvels. Albert reveals that Marcus and Billy are young men who joined him in making a family, but have each passed away; the story was the family history they created. Joseph returns to school but is called home as Albert nears death. As his mother plans to sell the house, he realizes he needs to make his own story from the book's blank final pages.
