Synopsis
Against her stepmother's instructions, Mirka takes her little sister Layele into the woods where they encounter a wishing fish, and soon the girls are trapped in the fish's supernatural world. Fruma, who encountered the fish in her own youth, rescues Mirka, but cannot free Layele. Fruma insists that rescue efforts must stop for Shabbos. Gaining strength from the observance, they then free Layele and neutralize future threats from the fish, although their house is wrecked in the process. Mirka finally acknowledges Fruma as her mother.
