Synopsis
A telegram arrives stating that Daniel is returning, causing Liz and Mandy argue about which one of them he truly loved. They had been attracted to him five years earlier because of his maturity back then. The older man had told each of them that he had been in love before, but "in you I have found my finest and best love". When he arrives, they see he is now a paunchy, older man and run back to their current boyfriends.

Synopsis

Zoe saves the report on Bill Larwood for last and is about to carry on with it when she receives a letter from her boss. One of the men she is reporting on has written her boss, saying she had become engaged to Bill and Zoe had been tricked so that Bill would get a good report from her.

Synopsis
Eve thinks there is a burglar on the fire escape, but it is just the boy upstairs. He says he was trying to sneak into his room without his key, but Eve doesn't believe him. She gets him to admit that he's having an affair with a girl and he wants to keep it quiet. But he seems to spend all his time over the next few weeks with Eve, getting advice on how to deal with his girlfriend. Eventually, Eve learns he made up the story about having a girlfriend.
