Synopsis
Dr. Carter succeeds in moving through time into the far future, where he is met by a man named Garvin in a room called the Control Chamber, and where he tries to convince the doctor to return to his own time as quickly as possible. The doctor doesn't want to, but when he visits the city and meets the people, he discovers that everyone looks alike, housing is identical and people travel to pre-arranged destinations. But when he desires later to return to his own time, he is in for a real surprise!

Synopsis
An Earth ship returns to a planet that it had seeded over 50,000 years before in order to see if the planet is ready for colonization. They discover that somewhere along the line that evolution on the planet took a wrong turn and Earthmen could never thrive there. Thus they decide to start all over again and re-seed the planet after destroying it, unaware that an intelligent tree exists on the planet!
