- Synopsis
- The military captures Rick and Ross convinces him that they need the Hulk to test a new experimental rocket for national security. Rick tricks the jade giant into the capsule but once it is shot into space, he realizes that Ross deceived him to get rid of his foe. Rick overrides the programming and returns the rocket to earth but not before Banner (he transformed back to his human form when the rocket came into view of the sun) is doused with further radiation. The Hulk is now unable to revert to his human form and is under Rick's control but only while Rick remains awake.

- Rick takes a break from his Hulk-sitting duties and goes to the circus. Unfortunately, he picks one run by a hypnotic criminal who mesmerizes his audience and then robs them. When the Hulk arrives to bail out his buddy, he is captured and made part of the act thanks to the fact that Rick is in thrall and cannot give him any commands. Rick returns with the FBI and the Hulk finds himself free to kick some circus tail.

- Synopsis
- Rick uses some of Banner's machinery to transform the Hulk, who was stuck in his monster persona, back into Bruce. Bruce is incredibly weakened by the transformation and takes a chance in using the machinery on himself again which transforms him back into the Hulk's body but with Bruce Banner's mind. Now Bruce and the Hulk can switch at will using the gamma ray machine.

- Finding his transformations more and more difficult using his gamma ray machine, the Hulk with Banner's brain also finds that he has Banner's features when he zaps himself to face the alien invading Metal Master and his head does not transform. The power of the Metal Master is too much for the Hulk and he is captured by Ross. Rick forms the Teen Brigade. Hulk breaks free of Ross's bunker and then pulls off one of the boldest victories against one of the most powerful aliens ever seen.

- Synopsis
- Two rival fan clubs are debating who is stronger, Thor or the Hulk? Thor happens to be passing by and drops in to offer his opinion. He relates the story of their epic battle (in Avengers #3) and describes a previously unseen scene in which he and the Hulk tussle. He goes into deep thought and when pressed, cannot say who is the stronger because he has insufficient proof! Days later, the Hulk gives thought to his meeting with Thor and vows that, next time, Thor will be smashed forever!
