Winner of the 1962 "Best Book-Length Story" Alley Award.
This issue was originally published around the same time as Justice League of America #11. This is the first time the Justice League encounters Adam Strange. An editor's note explains that this story takes place prior to JLA #4, in which Flash nominates Adam Strange for Justice League membership. It is also stated that it takes place after JLA #3, where the League previously defeated Kanjar Ro. This issue was originally solicited to be included in Justice League of America Omnibus Volume 1, but was left out, and was instead added to the beginning of Volume 2. The trade paperback series Justice League of America: The Silver Age (2016 series) places this story between JLA #3 and #4.
