- Synopsis
- Kitsune breaks into a mansion intent on robbery. She notices a light in another room, and sees a ninja, They fight, and are discovered by the guards. Kitsune flees, meeting up with Kiyoko and Usagi, who had run into Miyoko. The guards catch up with them, Usagi fights them off while Kitsune and Miyolo run to their hideout.

- Synopsis
- The painting Kitsune stole contains a secret agreement Inouye made to control the ginseng market and will provide considerable aid to Lord Hikiji. Chizu and Usagi are both determined to prevent that, but Kitsune only wants some money and makes a deal to sell it to Inouye while Chizu and Usagi are busy fighting Chizu's former Neko Ninja allies.

- Synopsis
- Kitsune tells Usagi and Chizu about her plan to sell the treaty to Inouye. They accompany her to the trade and when Inouye tries to kill Kitsune to obtain the document, Chizu and Usagi kill off Inouye's men. Chizu claims the treaty then kisses Usagi farewell; Kitsune likewise kisses Usagi farewell. Afterward, Kiyoko reveals she stole the treaty back while Chizu was kissing Usagi; for her part, Kitsune picked Usagi's pocket while kissing him.

- Synopsis
- Usagi meets a one-armed swordsman named Takashi, who lost a duel against Te, a notorious ronin who claims the sword hand of whomever he bests. Usagi winds up witnessing Takashi's rematch against Te; although Takashi seems handicapped he secretly placed a blade within the wooden stump on his right hand and uses it to dispatch Te. Takashi explains he sought the rematch not out of vengeance but because Te was "too evil to exist."

- Synopsis
- Usagi sees a band of retainers attacked and nearly wiped out for possession of a sacred rock, Toyama Ishi. Usagi agrees to help the surviving retainer, Yoshi, deliver the stone to his master. Eventually, the attackers return and in their clash, Yoshi is killed and the stone is shattered. Determined to complete Yoshi's mission, Usagi picks a simple stone from the river and delivers it to Yoshi's Lord Akagawa, who cannot tell the difference.

- Synopsis
- The European swordsman Rodriguez is a guest in the court of Lord Odo, pitting his European swordsmanship against Japanese techniques. As part of his report on Japan, he demands Lord Odo show him an example of hara-kiri by demanding the death of Nobu, the tea master. Lord Odo complies and Nobu begrudgingly gives his life. Disgusted by Rodriguez, Nobu's friend Usagi offers to fight Rodriguez to the death and concludes the battle by disembowelling Rodriguez so he can experience the effect of hara-kiri.

- Synopsis
- Usagi defends Haruko from the Koroshi, who have been hired to kill her. As Haruko is going to marry Eiji as part of a business deal between families, Eiji's rival Ichiro is suspected to be the killers' client, but Eiji himself proves to be behind it all as he did not wish to marry Haruko. Usagi kills Eiji and Haruko decides to marry Ichiro.
