Synopsis

After the death of her parents, Cilla worked as a seamstress in a dressmaking firm. She wanted to earn enough to repay her aunt for the money she borrowed to buy her mother an expensive drug before she had died. Meanwhile, her co-workers enjoyed teasing Cilla. When Bank Holiday arrived, the other girls had exciting plans for the long weekend, but Cilla went to the cinema alone. However, she met Brian there and they were immediately attracted to each other. When the girls returned to work, everyone else reported a disappointing weekend, but Brian was waiting for Cilla after work.
