But Trish's boyfriend had fooled the manager into thinking he could use his contacts to get a big star to come. When no star showed up, the angry patrons push Barry off the bridge and into the river. When Barry calls for help because he can't swim, Trish jumps in after him before realizing she can hardly swim either.
