Indexer Notes

Credit information from Back Issue Magazine #40 article. Supplied by Steven Tice [5/2010]. Nick Caputo believes other artists at Continuity assisted on the art, including Adams.

The artwork in this story takes bizarre liberties with two established characters: Uhura, played by an African-American actress in the TV series, is depicted as a Caucasian blonde (including one image that incorporates actress Nichelle Nichols' features, but with white skin), while Sulu, a Asian-American character on TV, is here depicted as black. Lt. M'ress is a character from the 1972-1974 animated Star Trek series, but does not resemble the TV version of the character.
