When she meets Pete's wife, Dixie comments about how Biddy is obviously in love, but so sad. She asks Biddy if she is sure it's Tommy she's in love with.

Synopsis
Fay had loved Peter her whole life, but when he demanded that she marry him before he is posted overseas she felt he was rushing things. Peter walked out on her and later she met an archaeologist. She starts to wonder if she was falling for him when they discover an ancient bracelet. Lewis tells her that is proves the old legend of Maiden's Rest and tells her the story. Hearing the story makes Fay realize that it is Peter she loves.

Synopsis
Celia had been a home-loving girl until her aunt urged her put herself out with people her own age. She meets a man whose car has run out of petrol and soon starts seeing him regularly. Although he is honest about not having much money, she uses her savings to buy herself new clothes and pick out a new flat for them to live in after they get married. But a week before the wedding she gets a letter from him saying there was another girl and he couldn't go through with it. Her aunt convinces her to use her new clothes and new flat to start over and is soon making new friends.
