Synopsis
Rhoda grows up with her father on a river barge, and longs for a life of luxury as epitomized by Brian’s fancy yacht. Rhoda and fisherman Mark fall in love. When Brian invites her to a party on his yacht, Mark advises Rhoda not to go because Brian’s “dubious business contacts” attend the wild parties. Rhoda attends but doesn’t tell Mark. Mark is drafted and Rhoda takes a job as Brian’s “hostess” to earn money. When the yacht nearly sinks, Rhoda is caught in the scandal and Brian, home on furlough, breaks up with her.

Synopsis
Jewel thief Laura takes a job as Mrs. Gaumont’s social secretary, intending to steal a fabulous diamond. She and Mr. Gaumont’s secretary Matt fall in love. Laura steals a ring from Mrs. Gaumont and plants it on Matt, but confesses when the police arrive. However, it turns out Matt is also a thief, and they’re both arrested.

Synopsis
Kitty loses her job as a director of a small-town theatre’s play when rival Vivian brings in famous performer Scott. Scott co-stars with Kitty and she falls in love with him. The play is a success, but Scott is later reported dead in a plane crash. Kitty moves to New York and becomes a stage star. One day she thinks she hears Scott singing. He has amnesia and has been working backstage, but regains his memory when Kitty sings “their” song. Kitty and Scott get married.
