- Synopsis
- As Barry and the new Kid Flash rescue people from a collapsing bridge, the original Wally West shows up to help them. When the two Wallys touch, Barry experiences speed force feedback and sees visions of a possible future and behaves arrogantly, seemingly momentarily possessed by Prof. Zoom. Under the influence of Zoom, Barry reveals to the second Wally that his uncle Daniel, the Reverse Flash, is in reality Wally's father. Upset at this revelation, and that Barry had withheld this information from him previously, the second Wally storms off, but is consoled by the original Wally.
- Reprints
The confusing lineage of the second Wally West is clarified. In The Flash 2011 series, the second Wally referred to Daniel West, the Reverse Flash, as uncle Daniel. In DC Universe: Rebirth #1 (2016), the original Wally states that the second Wally is a cousin that he never met who is the son of Daniel West. Presumably, this was a re-set as part of Rebirth. This seemed to be contradicted in issue The Flash (2106 series) #8 as well as Teen Titans: Rebirth #1 (2016), where the second Wally again referred to Daniel as his uncle. However, in this issue, Barry tells the second Wally that Daniel is in fact his father, even though Wally had erroneously believed him to be his uncle.
Barry and the original Wally do not tell the second Wally who the original Wally really is, Barry refers to him as another Flash whom he had previously trained. Barry has also not yet revealed his own identity to the second Wally. The original Wally does not reveal his existence to Iris, he wants to wait until they discover who is behind their missing years.
Barry has one final vision of an object that he does not recognize, but it appears to be the helmet of Jay Garrick, who has not been seen in the DC Universe since the New 52 began.
