- Synopsis
- Amanda Waller has been relieved of command of Task Force X pending an investigation of the events involving the Justice League and Maxwell Lord, and she spends her time trying to track down Rustam. Harcourt now oversees the Squad as they raid Russian bases trying to track down the Annihilation Brigade. Flag requests shore leave for the Squad, while Hack tries to de-code the data that they retrieve and learns of a spy within the Suicide Squad. Meanwhile, Rustam leads a prison break at Blackgate Penitentiary.

- Synopsis
- Amanda Waller, who was shot in a dark alley, is brought to an emergency room where the doctors try to save her, but she succumbs to her injuries. Rustam breaks into a high security vault in Blackgate to free fellow members of The Burning World, an organization looking to overthrow world governments. Harcourt has Hack digitize the Squad to get them to Blackgate to fight Rustam's team, but Rustam's team escapes, taking Flag and Katana with them.

- Harley accuses Deadshot of killing Waller, and he reveals that he was hired by Rustam to do so. Rustam tries to convince his prisoners Flag and Katana to join his cause. Djinn infiltrates Belle Reve's computer systems to steal their files and also deactivates the brain bombs, providing freedom for the Squad members.

- Synopsis
- Amanda Waller makes a surprising return from death to rally the Squad to defeat Rustam and the Burning Sun. In the aftermath, we learn how Waller set up her "death" and Deadshot's betrayal to manipulate Rustam's team into killing certain political enemies of Waller. Waller is put back in charge of Task Force X, and vows to find out who killed Hack.

Believing that Deadshot betrayed the Squad, Katana cuts off Lawton's left hand. At the end of the issue, Lawton replaces the hand with a cybernetic one.
Waller states that because her team brought in Rustam and his team, the new president has forgiven the Max Lord business (from the Justice League vs. Suicide Squad series), and placed Amanda back in charge of Task Force X.

- Synopsis
- When Strikeforce Europa kidnaps George Carmody, the former Secretary of Defense, to try him for international war crimes, the Squad travels to the Netherlands to free him.
