- Synopsis
- In WW1, a pilot and doughboy vie for Tammy's hand. She'll marry whoever comes back the biggest hero. Soon the pilot lifts the doughboy in his biplane, but his guns jam, so the doughboy is the hero as he shoots down enemy fighters. Later the doughboy's company is caught in a gas attack. The pilot's plane ditches, can't fly, but blows away the gas and rams a tank. So both are recuperating heroes in hospital when both get "Dear John" letters from Tammy. She married a desk jockey!
