Lieutenant! Look what's coming out of those LSTs!
Genre
adventure; war
Characters
Lieutenant; Sergeant; "Sad Sack Snafus"
Synopsis
A bottom-of-the-barrel lieutenant and sergeant are given a squad of "sad sack snafus" and sent to police (clean up) battlefields. On (Dinosaur) island, they clean up smashed materiel after a battle. The only action is waiting on LSTs that went missing. The LSTs land: and dinosaurs debark! The soldiers fight dinosaurs with junk weapons and a Japanese tank. Finally pushed to the surf, they shove a floating mine at the dinosaurs and blow up the last. "They'll have to strike a new kind of medal for the fight you and your men put up here!"

Genre
war
Characters
Paratrooper Lieutenant; French advisor; paratroopers; Charles Martel (Charlemagne); French knights; Moors
Synopsis
Night before D-Day, a scared lieutenant prepares to jump with paratroopers where Charles Martel AKA Charlemagne drove the Moors from France. He bangs his head jumping... And lands at the feet of Charlemagne in 732 AD! His gun jams, but he helps win the battle by circling to a mill dam and blowing it up with a grenade. He's conked by debris... And lands in the same spot, on D-Day, as Nazi tanks advance. Remembering the mill, Lt. circles and blows it up with a bazooka, washing out the tanks. "How did you know?" "You could say... I 'dreamed' it..."
