Sid Greene's usual depiction of Julius Schwartz as a character occurs on page 2 panel 1 (the minister officiating at wedding), and again on page 4 panel 1. In panel 2 of page 6, Sid Greene also includes a nod to fellow DC artist Murphy Anderson, who was always considered a well dressed man. The building in the background reads "MURPHY'S FASHIONS", as well as "GREENE'S BLDG 1934".
