With government funding and now the official super hero group of Canada, Alpha Flight sets up their new base on Tamarind Island. Shaman takes off to find himself. Heather digs into Madison's past and finds out he has a brother. She visits him in a hospital and accidentally unleashes Scramble, a man who can transmute flesh just as his brother does with machinery. Alpha Flight has to contain Scramble and Madison helps restore his brother to sanity and put right the people he has distorted with his flesh altering powers. Unfortunately, Lionel has accidentally resurrected Deadly Ernest.
