- Synopsis
- Mordru, as an agent of Chaos, begins to attack magic-based heroes tied into Fate's legacy, so as to learn the whereabouts of the new Fate about to appear, so he can absorb his magicks for himself and make himself more powerful than ever. He attempts to get the information from Sandman, but fails when Sandman commits suicide by falling off a cliff to his death. The information, however, is forwarded to his former ward, Sandy Hawkins, in a dream as he sees his mentor dying. He then takes up his mentor's role as Sand, and begins to gather a new JSA together from that information.
