- Pietro grabbed the sack of silver as Gino followed him out of the store and headed for their hideout. The take was good, goods worth 4000 lire. Hiding the swag in the Catacombs, they headed down into the eerie place, lined with the long departed. Reaching their desired spot, Pietro suddenly plunged a knife into the back of his partner. Grabbing the loot, he headed back down the unlit passages toward the exit, lamp in hand, but became disoriented and hopelessly lost. He found his way back to Gino's body. And then...the lamp's light went out!

- Felix and Lila watched a cock fight, and Felix thought it was inhuman. Nearby, they was another fight brewing...between vicious dogs, and a similar argument brewed between Aaron and Beatrice Scott. Later Aaron and Felix compared notes and discovered that the two couples were trying to outdo each other to draw paying crowds. Later the two women ran into each other and a slow hatred developed between the two. To the husbands involved, there was only one solution to their "problem" women and competing "businesses": they put the two women into the arena and let them go at each other!
