- Synopsis
- Weeks after Corum Rath became the new king of Atlantis, Arthur is believed dead, and Rath has cut-off Atlantis from contact with the surface world. Rath plans to use the magical weapons of the Silent School to protect Atlantis, and plans to eliminate all who are not true Atlanteans. In the Ninth Tride, Rath's home province, crime gangs terrorize innocent civilians as well as peaceful mutants who live there. But a mysterious protector emerges to fight the gangs. Vulko plots to over-throw Rath, while in Amnesty Bay, Tula comforts Mera, who is grieving over Arthur's death.

- Synopsis
- Aquaman and Dolphin flee from Drift soldiers who are following the orders of Corum Rath to hunt down and eliminate all mutants. Mera uses the full force of her powers in an attempt the breach the Crown of Thorns that surrounds Atlantis. Murk interrogates Vulko about his co-conspirators. Dolphin leads Arthur to a place where the mutants hide out. Krush sends Kadaver after the mutants and sees an opportunity when he recognizes Arthur, who is believed dead, amongst them.

- Synopsis
- Arthur and Dolphin are held captive by Krush, who plans to use Arthur to leverage power with Corum Rath. - Synopsis
- Having escaped from Krush, Arthur and Dolphin must battle Kadaver who seeks to recapture them. To reach the Atlantean treasury, Vulko and Ondine must pass through the catacombs which are guarded by ghosts of past Atlantean leaders. - Synopsis
- Aquaman explains to Dolphin why he cannot re-claim his throne, but Dolphin convinces him he can still be the hero to save Atlantis. Vulko and Ondine continue their quest to reach the Atlantean treasury to recover an Atlantean artifact to help bring down the Crown of Thorns. Meanwhile, Mera and Tempest try to break through the barrier to reach Atlantis, but Corum Rath sends the Silent School to stop them.

- Synopsis
- Jurok Byss leads the Undercurrent, a resistance group dedicating to overthrowing King Rath, on a mission on which they end up being rescued by Aquaman, whom they had believed to be dead. Aquaman and Dolphin agree to join the resistance. Meanwhile, Mera uses magical means to get through the Crown of Thorns barrier to get into Atlantis, but becomes ill as a side affect. King Shark plans to take over the gangs of the Underworld now that Krush has vanished. Rath is furious with the growing movements against him and vows to eliminate all his enemies.
