Synopsis

In the Amazon, Darkseid is angry with the Female Furies who failed to retrieve one of the artifacts he needs. Diana recounts her day to Steve, detailing her battles with Zara, the Blue Snowman, and Anglette as they attacked Washington. Diana learns that Veronica Cale is behind the attacks and confronts her.

Zara has been updated from her Golden Age appearances in Comic Cavalcade #5 and Wonder Woman (1942 series) #28. She now has the ability to fire blasts of flame.

The Blue Snowman has also been updated from her Golden Age appearances in Sensation Comics #59 and Wonder Woman (1942 series) #28. She controls a giant cybernetic Exo-Mecha armor that was wired directly to her brain. When Diana destroys the armor, Byrna falls into a coma.

Anglette is a new female version of Angle Man, using the same Angler weapon that he used. Angle Man's fate remains unknown.

It is revealed that Steve's team was able to capture Lashina and Mad Harriet after their battle with the Female Furies in issue #40.
