Synopsis

Synopsis
Meena reveals how she was absorbed into the Speed Force, but rescued by the Black Hole. Having drawn the negative Speed Force energy out of The Flash, she uses her new power to attack Barry and Wally. Meanwhile, Kristen spends her downtime at Iron Heights trying to discover the identity of Central City's new crime boss, but faces an unexpected surprise.

Synopsis
Barry is summoned to Iron Heights to investigate the murder of Turbine. The Trickster claims responsibility and tries to escape but he is recaptured. Barry consults Godspeed for help to identify the real murderer. Meanwhile, Kid Flash thwarts a bank robbery, and Copperhead agrees to a deal with the mysterious new crime boss of Central City.

Synopsis
Godspeed betrays the Rogues and frees Flash from Cold's trap. Flash defeats the Rogues and breaks up the criminal ring they were operating from Iron Heights. Flash learns of Cold's plan to kill Copperhead, which he must prevent as Wally is endangered as well. Barry uncovers evidence that reveals that Cold killed Turbine, exonerating the Trickster. Cold is transferred to Amanda Waller's custody in Belle Reve. Barry attempts to reconcile with Iris.

Synopsis
After a battle with the Top, Barry confronts the older Wally about not getting on with his life since returning from the Speed Force. Wally still has not revealed his existence to Iris, afraid he will upset her. With Linda out of his life, Wally decides to re-unite with another old flame, Frances Kane. When her memory is triggered by Wally's appearance she remembers her forgotten past, and becomes the hero/villain Magenta and attacks Wally.

Indexer Notes

The original story in The Flash Annual #1 was titled "Prelude to Flash War" and was 38 pages long. This story has been retitled and only includes pages 6-33 of the original story dealing with the older Wally West adjusting to his returned life. The other 10 pages were part of the Flash War storyline and were not included in this collection, but are included in Volume 8 of this series.

Story takes place before The Flash (DC, 2016 series) #39.

Professor Zoom [Reverse-Flash; Eobard Thawne] was killed by Iris West in the 25th century Flash Museum in The Flash (DC, 2016 series) #27.
