Synopsis
Sally Mayne is a newspaper reporter at the Evening Star. She is engaged to the paper's publisher, Roger Cabot, but is reluctant to set a date for the wedding. Don Sears, a young artist, is suing the Evening Star for libel for a hatchet job the paper's art editor did on him. Roger assigns Sally to learn all about Sears to obtain information the paper's lawyers can use when the case comes to court.
