Major Merrick, in league with the French, frames Delilah for treason. They discover that Merrick is attempting to sabotage a British fleet, then expose and thwart him. Due to his high position Merrick gets off, but common soldiers in Portugal snipe at him in battle until they force him into French lines, where he learns that the French have no use for an exposed spy. He vows revenge, while Delilah and Selim plan a boat trip to Scandinavia.
