- Synopsis
- At tryouts for "Impossible but True," a man demonstrates a root that when exposed to carbon dioxide, starts growing and becomes indestructible. The only way to stop it is to cut off the carbon dioxide supply. A petty crook steals the root and uses it to break into a bank vault. Police show up to stop the crime, but the containing bottle gets broken and the root runs wild. Roy notices that the root is near a thermometer manufacturer, and obtains a barrel of mercury. The root grabs the barrel, crushes it and covers itself with mercury, cutting off its carbon dioxide.
