Based on the 1963 film of the same name, which was in turn based on the non-fiction book PT 109: John F. Kennedy in World War II by Robert J. Donovan.

A different version of this true story (not based on the movie and book) appeared in Combat (Dell, 1961 series) #4 (June 1962); reprinted, Combat #30 (January 1971).
