- Animal Man encounters B'Wana Beast and cures his anthrax poisoning. After restoring the animals B'Wana Beast fused, Animal Man tells off Dr. Myers at S.T.A.R. Labs and returns to his home. B'Wana Beast, however, has his own plans for Dr. Myers.

- While Animal Man disrupts a fox hunt, James Highwater visits the Psycho Pirate, who along with The Mad Hatter, remembers the pre-Crisis multiverse. The Psycho Pirate gives Highwater a piece of paper showing the pre-Crisis origin of Animal Man. Meanwhile Vixen has arrived at the Baker house in search of help fighting invisible creatures. As Animal Man is literally unravelled by the creatures, the aliens who gave him his power arrive.
