"Case of the Funny Paper Crimes" from Superman (DC, 1939 series) #19 is re-done without Superman, and with the All-Star Squadron instead to signify one of the many changes made post-Crisis, since any Golden Age stories involving these 7 heroes (Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Speedy) were no longer considered to be "in continuity." This allowed for any previous Golden Age stories involving these 7 heroes to either be rewritten by omitting them, or just to be recreated, albeit without the original heroes' appearances.
Includes an article on this issue's story, explaining some of the changes to continuity caused by Crisis on Infinite Earths, as well as letters from Paul Stevens, Andy Sved, and Jimmy Katakis reviewing All-Star Squadron (DC, 1981 series) #59.
