Synopsis
A fingerprint at a crime scene reveals that Shoulders, one of Tracy's previous foes, is still alive. Shoulders has married someone who knows nothing of his previous life. Shoulders kills his partner and then the fence who was to buy stolen diamonds from him. When his step-daughter locks herself in his brush sample case, Tracy and Pat are tipped off by the brush company when they are contacted for a key. Shoulders sees the police cars in front of his house and flees, only to have an accident in his car. He takes shelter in an antique store, where the owner helps him.
While Tracy talks to Shoulders' wife, Shoulders disposes of his getaway vehicle by pushing it into a frozen pond and covering the tracks. Shoulders hides his stolen diamonds in his room. His landlady, Miss Varnish, puts him to work refinishing antiques as part of his rent.

Synopsis
Mrs. Shoulders contacts Miss Varnish to get an appraisal on some antique furniture. Miss Varnish discovers that her boarder is a wanted man. Shoulders tries to escape but first wants to retrieve his diamonds from their hiding place. Tracy discovers Shoulders as the crook climbs a ladder to get the jewels. Shoulders loses his balance, and when he tries to shoot Tracy, he falls and shoots himself.
