Synopsis
“I wanted security...I wanted a home of my own...and the price I had to pay was marriage!” Ada and Steve get married and move into a house where Ada plunges “into a frenzy of cleaning, decorating, cooking, sewing...” to “show Steve he had married an ideal homemaker.” However, Steve never feels comfortable in the house and Ada’s constant housework leaves her too tired to respond to Steve’s romantic advances. He moves out, but when Ada learns she’s pregnant, they reconcile and vow to have a happy marriage.
Sally takes a summer job as a switchboard operator at the “swanky” Curtis Mountain Hotel. She falls in love with lifeguard Jack, but is also courted by owner Don. Jack says Don swindled his family out of part ownership of the resort. The two men fight over Sally; they finally agree to split the hotel 50-50 and become friends again. Jack gets Sally.

Synopsis
Flirtatious Wanda marries Tommy but after a time she feels “the fire’s gone out of our lives!” When they move to the suburbs, she decides to seduce their married neighbor Glenn. He eventually kisses her, but “it was almost coldly professional...almost condescending!” Wanda is embarrassed but Glenn says she needs to realize Tommy is the man she really loves. Wanda agrees.
"Youth counsellor" Helen Winslow advises girls who are "attracted to a certain boy--and want to do something about it!" She provides hints for "striking up an acquaintance and still not being aggressive about it!"
