Synopsis
Mike befriends Leon and falls in love with Lisette during the war. When Leon and Mike discover Germans carrying munitions across the Somme they draw lots to see which of them will make a suicidal attack to destroy the bridge. Leon wins the draw and gives his life to accomplish the mission. Decades later, long since married to Lisette, Mike reveals Leon had cheated, intentionally winning the draw.
