After her beloved husband Austen Barlo dies, grieving Ann Barlo wants to kill herself to join him in death. But her greedy sister murders her instead, so she and her husband can inherit their farm. Afterwards while plowing the fields, they are approached by fertilizer producer Jacobus (a friend of the Barlos). He offers to give them a special fertilizer that will grow miracle crops if they promise to use it near an old willow tree patch. They agree, not realizing that is where Austen is buried. The fertilizer revives Austens rotting corpse and he exacts revenge on the couple.
A widowed father dies of an illness and his only son is left in the care of the boy's uncle. When the uncle starts beating the boy, the corpse of the father comes back from the grave to help his son.
A wealthy hunter falls for the wife of a taxidermist. After asking the taxidermist to stuff his beloved dead horse, the jealous taxidermist murders his unfaithful wife and seals her rotting body inside the horse as a morbid "gift" for the cheating hunter.
