Synopsis
Over her husband's objections, a Ruby plants a cactus in the yard of their home. Ogden broods over the plant and decides to chop it down, but the cactus seizes the ax and kills him instead. The police think a prowler did it. Later, she agrees to marry Dr. Rebound, but the cactus strangles him and uproots itself. The plant enters the house and hugs Ruby, crushing her to death.

Synopsis
A lonely little horticulturist (who's constantly bullied by his hulking wife), finds a way to give life to a vine with a special spray. He can make the vine display both love and hate. He makes the vine hate and traps his wife in the greenhouse where she is strangled to death. Alone with his vine, he uses his spray to make the plant love. The vine hugs him but hugs him so tightly it kills him.
