On page 8, the editor notes Wonder Woman recently battled the Cheetah in Wonder Woman (DC, 1942 series) #230; that issue, however, detailed an adventure set during World War II, featuring the Earth-Two Wonder Woman and Cheetah. Wonder Woman believes the Cheetah has drowned at the end of the story; the Cheetah assumes Wonder Woman is indifferent to her fate, and retaliates in Justice League of America (DC, 1960 series) #195. Etta and Diana's noisy neighbors is a subplot that is later explored in a storyline starting in Wonder Woman (DC, 1942 series) #279.

A Year One interlude. Story is set in the past prior to Wonder Woman leaving Themyscira and prior to Barbara Ann Minerva becoming the Cheetah.
Wonder Woman does not appear in this issue.
A couple of Gods appear to be guiding Barbara Ann to her discoveries, appearing as a white mouse and an owl. In issue #6, Hephaestus appeared to Diana as a white mouse. The owl is possibly Athena, although that is not specified.
