Indexer Notes

Dead Water, aka Jonah Payne, was last seen and was killed in Aquaman (2011 series) #52. The Dead Water in this issue is a new one. Also in Aquaman #52, Scavenger had revealed to Arthur the existence of "Strange Water", a body of water with unusual alien properties that was believed to have caused Jonah Payne to transform into Dead Water. Dead Water had attacked Scavenger and left him comatose before he could reveal the location of the "Strange Water" to Arthur. In this issue, Scavenger awoke from his coma and revealed the location.

The Aquamarines previously tried to assassinate Arthur in issue #14 during the war between Atlantis and the US.
