The story is a retelling of the Tales of Asgard story in The Mighty Thor #127.
The Norns here identify themselves as both Norns (from Norse mythology) and Fates (from Greek mythology). They use the names Klothos (for Urd) and Laecius (for Skuld) and presumably Atropos (for Verdandi), which are the names of the Greek Fates. In the Marvel Universe, the Norns and Fates are one and the same.

First credited colorist.
Marie Severin drew likenesses of Gerry Conway, Steve Englehart, Tom Fagan and Len and Glynis Wein throughout the story.
This is part of an unofficial Marvel-DC "crossover" set in the real-world Rutland, Vermont-based Halloween parade run by Tom Fagan. It was orchestrated by three writers: Steve Englehart (who scripted the Beast story in Amazing Adventures #16); Len Wein (author of Justice League of America #103) and Gerry Conway on Thor.
