Showcase Presents: Legion of Super-Heroes (DC, 2007 series) #4 gives the writer as Jim Shooter, but since the original issue came out in 1962 and Shooter didn't have his first story published until 1966, it's not correct. It is possible that Shooter did the additional panels that were added to this story to include the Legion.

- Synopsis
- While other Legionnaires spend time with their families, Matter-Eater Lad has an argument with his father. He ends up back at Legion headquarters where Shrinking Violet complains about her boyfirend troubles. They go out on a date which is interrupted by the arrival of Duplicate Boy. But instead of fighting, Matter-Eater Lad teaches Duplicate Boy how to treat a lady.
