The final page of this story was altered when it was printed in an earlier collection, with the last two panels being omitted and the art in the preceding panel (panel 4) was modified. In the original issue, the last 3 panels led to a continuation of the story in Super Friends #2. As that story was not included in the previous collection, alterations were made so that the story did not end on a cliffhanger. Although as the villains escaped capture in this story (they were captured in issue #2), that plotline was left unresolved. As this collection does include the second part of the story in Super Friends #2, it should have used the original version of the story from Super Friends #1 instead of the altered reprint.

When reprinted in Aquateers Meet the Super Friends, the story was shown on pages half the size of a regular comic, so the story stretched across 10 pages. However, in this reprint half pages are combined into full pages, with each half page showing a page number up to page 10, printed across 5 full pages. The original story was 5.67 pages, so presumably something was edited out for publication in Aquateers Meet the Super Friends and is also missing here.
